Hello, kind stranger

The Curious Engineer is an independent publication launched in May 2026 by Taylor Hanayik. The concept is still a work in progress, but the idea is to publish articles about engineering, science, and research from the perspective of a curious engineer (me). Curious is a fun word. It can mean that something is strange and unusual or it can refer to the inquisitive desire to learn something new.

I think my perspective could be strange and unusual compared to someone from a traditional engineering background, and I consider myself a life long learner with an insatiable desire to understand things.
